Some say this virus can easily be avoided with a mask; However, most people believe that Omicron is the most dangerous variant of COVID-19, but will JUST a mask save you from this virus? The short answer is yes, but the odds can stack against this virus the more you protect yourself. "Getting vaccinated, washing your hands frequently, and physical distancing can all help when fighting against this pandemic."
It has been proven that the new Omicron variant will, and has already, spread easier and quicker than the previous SARS-CoV-2 virus. Despite the quickness at which this virus will spread, we are still unsure of how quickly this virus can spread when in comparison to the Deata variant.
In the last 2 weeks, there have been over 20 sitings of COVID-19 in my school. Some teachers, but most students have been affected by this perilous virus. Regardless of their vaccination status, most people in my school, incuding teachers, don't wear masks, and this is one of the reasons why the virus is spreading quicker in my school. Most people are vaccinated, but people stil refuse to wear their masks, hence why masked should be mandated and not optional. Schools cannot rely on students ages through 15-18 to do the right thing and mask up, this is why there should be a penalty when caught without wearing a mask.
